It’s no secret that a culture of fast fashion is a massive factor in our growing landfills.

Addressing the problem is The Fashion Revolution, a global movement to change the way clothes are sourced, produced and consumed. Their annual Fashion Revolution Week is about showing everyone that we have the power to make a positive change.

In celebration of Fashion Revolution week, we got together with like-minded individuals and organisations to host a Waste To Worth workshop on Saturday 27 April. Curious creatives came to join us at Model Market where, with the help of Bangkok-based fashion and textiles designer Kamonnart, we used off-cuts from natural Thai cotton brand Folk Charm to make bottle holders.

We got crafty and arty and nothing was wasted, even the tiny scraps. Sneak a peek at this video for a glimpse at the revolutionary fun:

By changing our habits and attitudes, we can change the world. Let’s rethink the way we look at waste and the way we shop. The Fashion Revolution encourages us to choose eco-friendly clothing brands that last longer and that demonstrate a commitment to reducing their climate change impact.

See you at the next one; stay inspired.
