ASAI is all about collaboration, providing platforms for local talents and making space for meaningful interactions. As we look ahead to our next exciting opening in Sathorn, let’s explore the creative influences informing the aesthetic.

Designed for open-minded travellers who want to connect with the neighbourhood, ASAI Bangkok Sathorn combines functional features that make a stay comfy, and artistic flourishes that reference the locale. Architectural inspiration comes from materials and elements you’ll find in Sathorn and Silom, from concrete blocks, wrought iron panels and plants embedded in structures to the unique patchwork of textures reflected in the highrise buildings and the way the skyline sparkles at night.

On the ground floor, the lobby combines neighbourhood bar and co-working hub, with relaxing armchairs and sofa-style seating plus communal tables with power plugs. This indoor-outdoor space opens onto the street and incorporates the self-check-in kiosk. At the entrance, photography by Pichai Keawvichit captures a contemporary outlook on the neighbourhood by reframing its elements from a new point of view.

A key focal point of the ground floor space is the fabric collage created by textile design expert, Awika Samukrsamen. With colour and texture, she literally weaves the patterns of Sathorn into an abstract dreamscape that represents the area.

The second floor is home to Err: Urban Rustic Thai, where chefs Bo and Dylan bring diners and guests together over authentic, casual sharing plates. Here, the scene is set for laid-back, loungey dining by artist Ploy Kasom with her vibrant tile painting integrating Thai script and colourful characters with a unique graphic style, and up-and-coming young designer D’Jai with an abstract painting, both inspired by traditional homestyle Thai utensils and enamel plates.

Guest rooms are designed for maximum comfort and efficiency, with a focus on what matters – high-speed WiFi, powerful showers and smart storage – blended with welcoming touches and timber surfaces for a chic Asian aesthetic.

That’s just a taster for what’s coming. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes hints about ASAI Bangkok Sathorn and the ways we’re weaving local culture into its design through creative collaborations with the best talent around.
